#Repost @nasa ・・・ Our Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter recently captured a unique view of Earth from the spacecraft's vantage point in orbit around the moon. Seen in this composite image, we see Earth appear to rise over the lunar horizon from the viewpoint of the spacecraft, with the center of the Earth just off the coast of Liberia. On the moon, we get a glimpse of the crater Compton, which is located just beyond the eastern limb of the moon, on the lunar farside. LRO was launched on June 18, 2009, and has collected a treasure trove of data with its seven powerful instruments, making an invaluable contribution to our knowledge about the moon. LRO experiences 12 earthrises every day; however the spacecraft is almost always busy imaging the lunar surface so only rarely does an opportunity arise such that its camera instrument can capture a view of Earth. #Repost @gopro ・・・ GoPro Featured Photographer and Athlete - @timhumphreys About the Shot - Backside 540 Selfie at Stubai, Austria: Floating high above the glacier this fall on my #snowboard, @StubaiZoo has the best jumps in the world right now! This image was captured with a #HERO4Silver on a selfie stick and triggered using the WiFi Remote. How the Shot was Captured: My technique for shooting snowboard photos has always been using the 30/3s photo burst mode and a remote stuffed in one of my gloves to trigger the shot. I find that using the remote allows me to have my #GoPro in position when I trigger the burst so that the camera auto adjusts correctly to the scene I'm intending to shoot. Plus it allows me to focus on my riding more! My go-to settings are: Protune: on, GoPro Color, Iso limit 400, sharpening: media. #armorx

My favorite place to surf is in Oregon, not many places do you hike a mile through pine trees wearing a down jacket and pants, just to suit up in a thick wetsuit with a hood, booties and gloves. Then paddle through waves that give you ice cream headaches every time you duck under a wave. Once you get to the outside, there is no one. It's just you and the cold water. How the Shot was Captured: I used my #GoPro #HERO4Black attached to the nose of my surfboard with a floaty on the camera, in case it unclips from my board. I set my GoPro to .5/sec Time Lapse mode to capture continuous photos while on a wave. ProTune On, ISO 400, EV Comp -0.5 so the images aren't overexposed, sharpness set on low. #armorx
